Quick and Crafty Gift Ideas

Posted by Autumn

It’s happened again! It seemed like summer only just ended, and suddenly Thanksgiving is over and now Christmas is right around the corner! October and November always seem to fly by—and if you’re like me you need some fast, crafty holiday gift ideas. And I found some great ones, by searching some of my favorite sites on the Internet:. Here are a few fun and fast projects that would make perfect presents for anyone on your Nice list:

Scrabble Tile Coasters (from Domestic for Dummies)

Perfect for a college student (especially an English major) or anyone who likes word play! These coasters are a fun and creative project, and they look great too!

The Easy-Peasy Scarf (from Dollar Store Crafts)

If you can chain stitch, you can make this scarf. This is also a great stashbuster idea!

Journal with Photos for Pages (from Photojojo)

If your gift recipient loves journaling, this is the perfect handmade present for him or her. Since you choose the photographs that make up the journal’s pages, you can customize this journal exactly to your friend or loved one’s tastes.

Two-Tie Sling Bag (from Betz White's blog)

Fashionista, meet “giftanista!”

This bag is super-simple to sew, and  is cool enough to be a present for even the most discerning of purse princesses.

Food!

Homemade pickles, canned fruits, or even a simple loaf of cranberry walnut bread (mmmm!) can mean more than any gift card. Use a treasured family recipe, sift through old cookbooks, or search the Web for inspiration. You’re bound to find something holiday-yummy!
