Lace Water Bottle

Posted by Autumn

We fell in love this crafter's blog right from the home page. Carolyn's homework has a subtitle we just couldn't resist. Today's assignment: be inspired. How perfect is that?

This upcycle project starts with a regular glass water bottle and turns it into a charming vase. The perfect addition to a side table near a breezy window, or, as Carolyn suggests, DIY wedding decorations.

Upcycled Lace Water Bottle

What You Need:
a glass water bottle
lace (recycle old curtain lace or purchase at your local craft & fabric store)
Modge Podge
scissors
flowers
Wrap the entire bottle in the lace or use strips of the lace depending on how you want your finished product to look. Apply Mod Podge to your bottle and wrap the fabric around the bottle. Tip: If the neck of the bottle is narrower, cut slits in the fabric and layer the slits around the neck.

Once the fabric is completely dry, add another coat of Mod Podge over the fabric.

Add flowers and enjoy your delicate lace vase.
