Glitter Mug and Wine Glass.jpg
Mother’s Day will be here before you know it.  Don’t let it sneak up on you  - get started early and make your mom a fun glittered wine glass or coffee mug!Glittered mugs and glasses make a great presentation but aren’t too hard to make.  Since the sealant has to set before being used, it is best to make these at least 1 week prior to giving them away. You might want to buy an extra glass or mug to practice on first. Getting Sewing for National Sewing Month

Posted by Marcea
Sewing Pic - closeup of hem.jpg
September is National Sewing Month so I decided a while back that I would tackle sewing for my blog project this month. I had dreams of completing two projects - a sleep mask and a iPad holder made of pre-quilted material. What I didn't dream about is the obstacles I'd encounter. But I did learn lots of lessons! I have sewn in the past and I own a sewing machine.  When I was 17 I sewed a sleeveless maxi dress with lots of help from my mother and it was decent enough that I got compliments on it.
