Meltdowns. It’s nearing the Holiday countdown…are you having a meltdown yet? What are you stressing about? I have the cure…
My oldest daughter, Joelle, is graduating from 4 long hard years at college, so in those 4 years this mama has endured a few of her baby’s meltdowns! Working full-time and school full-time will do that to you!
So these little melty snow people are just the cure for our meltdowns. Whip up a batch for some gifts too!
I’m making these for her graduation party thanks to Maggie at www.SmashedPeasandCarrots.blogspot.com
Maggie has this amazing blog, so go visit her and take a little vacation from life. Thanks Maggie!
I’ve revised Maggie’s recipe because I don’t have the time to make the cookies from scratch. So Pillsbury to the rescue here! If you want to make a great home made sugar cookie, go to her blog and get hers. She also has a frosting recipe which I am using.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Dough (I’m also going to use brownie mix for another batch for my chocolate sweet-tooth)
Frosting
Sprinkles or you could use frosting for the eyes and nose and even broken pretzels for arms which is just a little thought I had.
Marshmellows
_______________________________
#1. MAKE THE COOKIES
#2. FROST THE COOKIES
#3. MELT THE MARSHMALLOWS IN THE MICROWAVE ABOUT 25 SECONDS, AND THEN HANDLE THEM WITH YOUR HANDS GREASED SO YOU DON’T END UP WITH THE LITTLE GUYS STICKING TO YOU.
#4. DECORATE THE LITTLE FELLOWS.
Bundle up and package for gifts. I’m attaching a little label that says “RX for Meltdowns”
Thanks again Maggie for this super cute tutorial and idea!
Be Inspired!
xoxo Jo
