Bad wiring?
Light bulb appeared to be burned out. Bought another one 13Watt. That one did not work. Must be a defect in the lamp itself. Owned it about a year and a half. I do not recommend this product.

Light does not stay in place when lowered
When lowering the light to use magnifier or to bring light closer to your project, the light does not stay in place, it falls down to the project. Even after tightening, it still won't stay in place. I do not recommend this light for that reason.
