TOP NOTCH work light
I put together my OTT light in about 2-3 minutes. I didn't even have to look around the tool box for the right wrench...they threw one in gratis. You just line up the base and pole, slip the bolt and nut thru, give it a few spins with the wrench, and you're good to go. If you have a problem getting the base and pole to line up, rest both pieces on the floor. Nice long electrical cable. The light the lamp gives off is a very cold color, almost blue-green. (It matches daylight more or less.) However, if you are reading, doing graphic art, anything requiring detailed focus, the lamp is perfect. The OTT Lamp moves up and down, and swivels side to side about 45 degrees. NICE HEAVY BASE keeps the lamp steady. The design is functional, modern, sleek. It almost looks like a miniature version of a 1960s parking lot light, from a mall. I'm glad I got it.

Poor Quality
My lamp was great for about a year, until the light stops working after a few minutes. I would like the product, but for the fact that quality is not behind it.

i read one review that said how easy it is to put together with just one bolt in the base.... WOULD BE NICE IF THEY INCLUDED THE BOLT!!!!!

Nice lamp!
Easy to screw lamp to base; it could not be easier as it connects with one bolt. This is the only thing you have to do to set the lamp up. The free wrench that comes with the lamp is a little clumsy to use, but hey, it is free! The lamp's gooseneck allows it to be adjusted up & down, exactly as shown in the photos. The gooseneck rotates left & right about 90 degrees, or 1/4 of the 360 degrees of a circle. If you need more rotation than that, you can simply grab the lamp pole and turn the whole lamp. The lamp is perfect for sitting next to a table for assembling a puzzle, or for reading. The light is very high quality. The power button on the lamp works perfectly on my lamp, but time will tell. It is not push-button, it is not a lever, it is a toggle.

Broker Switch
My floor lamp switch keeps getting stuck as had to puck 10 or more times to get to light. I contacted Ottlite and they would not replace the switch even though it was under warranty. Big Big hassle by the Ottlite people. I would recommend staying away from this product

broken switch
I purchased 2 of these lights, it did not take too long that the switch started to stick, then it stopped workingat all. For something that costs $200.00 you expect the quality to be there and it was not.

Waiting...
After just a few months, maybe up to 1 year, my lamp has stopped working. I bought a new bulb, and that wasn't the problem. Changed outlets, etc., still dead. I have contacted CS and am awaiting their response. Also, I agree with Katy's review. The lamp is somewhat awkward to use; design needs some serious updating. I gave it 1 star because of its extremely limited longevity.

24W craft plus floor lamp
The light generated gets 5 stars: huge difference lets you see very clearly. However this lamp is not worth $200 and I was very very dissapointed in its design. I had to really struggle to get the bolt to line up to screw the base on; the carton info lead me to belive the hight was adjustable from 42" to 49", I thought somehow it could be slid up or down, not so; they are referring to the goose neck: only moving from the horizontal to straight up. It's also too bad it doesn't swivel from side to side. Very basic engineering. This lamp should be priced at no more than $89; plus in person it's kind of ugly.
