On Sunday, July 26,  Stitch N Pitch came to the Tampa Bay area. OttLite is headquartered in Tampa, FL so we definitely wanted to get involved!

A national event for people who love the needlearts, Stitch N Pitch gathers needle artists and seats them together at a professional baseball game. Sponsored by The National NeedleArts Association and major/minor league baseball teams, this event allows knitters, crocheters, embroiders, cross-stitchers and needlepoint lovers to work on their projects while they cheer on their local teams.

 

The game in our area was the Tampa Bay Rays hosting the Baltimore Orioles. One of our local yarn shops, Stash A Place for Yarn, organized the event. Stash also coordinated ticket sales and created giveaway bags for all of the attendees.

OttLite donated LED Mini Flip Lites (the perfect battery-powered lamp for a ball game) for the goody bags and it looks like they got some great use of them at the game. There were over 100 crafters in attendance and it looks like everyone had a great time.
